10 steps to a quality sampling system

1. Create a secure location for the documentation relating to your sampling system.
2. Identify and record the products which will be sampled.
3. Identify and record the checks which will be made, the range of possible values, and the actions which should result from these values.
4. Create a schedule for when samples should be taken
5. Select and record sampling methods and sample sizes for each product which are appropriate to the needs of your business, your customers, external stakeholders, and any regulatory requirements.
6. Create procedures for how samples should be taken
7. Assign roles and responsibilities for sampling and ensure the relevant documentation is securely available to these roles.
8. Create an audit checklist and schedule for your sampling system.
